Lot of native varieties cultivated in a forested area with fertile soil, at an altitude of 1650 to 1850 meters above sea level in the Woreda Aleta Wendo.
The Bulesa washing station is responsible for processing unique varieties of coffee that grow on small plots. Its owners, leading coffee growers, run the farm and manage the crop.
The washing process includes a fermentation of the whole coffee berries in open tanks for 24 hours, after washing they are dried in the sun on raised beds. The result is an interesting coffee with a sweet and delicate character that offers you:
- Aroma of herbs (lavanda),
- Pleasant acidity (lemon peel),
- Medium sweetness (maple syrup),
- Light body and cleaning in the cup.
Tizita Bizuneh, is the owner and director of the Bulesa washing station. Her work together with a team of 12 women and 100 workers during the harvest season deserves a special mention for the construction of a female leadership program that promotes the access of many women to management and leadership positions within the coffee industry.
We recommend enjoying it in Espresso or Filter.
